Did you know that four states have marijuana legalization on Tuesday’s ballot? Voters in Florida, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota will vote to legalize marijuana on Tuesday, Nov. 5 according to USA Today and The Hill. Currently 24 states have legalized adult-use marijuana and another 13 states have legalized medical marijuana. See ANRF’s map for more information.
As legalization increases, the marijuana/cannabis industry grows bolder in its quest to promote smoking or vaping marijuana indoors by rolling back smokefree air laws. Smokefree advocates need additional tools and resources to adequately educate decision makers and the public about the health hazards of breathing secondhand marijuana smoke and the need to maintain strong smokefree air protections.
