Celebrating 20 Smokefree Years
Twenty years ago, November 1, 2004, the voters of Lincoln, Nebraska, affirmed to uphold the Lincoln comprehensive smokefree law that the City Council had passed in June, 2004. The opposition were able to get it on the ballot as one last ditch effort to overturn the ordinance before it went into effect. The law was upheld with 64% vote in favor of the law.
