To Clayton, California for expanding smokefree protections to include all multi-unit housing!

To Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport for being ready to close their smoking lounge, as we head toward the implementation of the Baton Rouge smokefree ordinance on June first. The airport is planning on  turning it into a Frequent Flyer or another type of lounge.

THUMBS DOWN

To the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  New owner Bruce Deifik wants to change the business plan to allow smoking, but yet offer more things for kids and families to do.  Read more

To Live! Casino & Hotel which opened a new smoking and gaming patio called “Orchid.” Not entirely a “patio,” (it is large and only has one open wall) this smoking and gaming space will endanger the health of the dealers who work there. The space will also sell cigars. Their opening ceremony for the space even involved a “cigar cutting.” Read more
