Removal of Information from HUD Website About the Smokefree Rule

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) adopted a rule in 2017 that required all public housing properties in the U.S. to adopt a 100% smokefree policy, and HUD issued many resources to support public housing agencies and public health partners with the implementation of this landmark policy. It’s challenging that the majority of information about this important rule was removed from the HUD website, ANR Foundation is here to help!

The CDC page about the HUD rule is available at https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/campaign/tips/partners/hud/index.html and a few of the document links are still working.

ANRF had previously archived a number of the HUD rule materials and we have posted these three as PDFs to the Public Housing section of our website to make them accessible:

If you saved any HUD rule documents that we could include on this page, please let us know!
