Thumbs Down to the FDA for their announcement that as part of the agency’s new anti-nicotine approach, key parts of the regulations it adopted last year on electronic cigarettes, cigars and other unregulated tobacco products will be put on hold for several years.

Thumbs Up to Missouri Rep. Vicky Hartzler, R-Harrisonville, who introduced a bill to make subsidized housing smokefree – Hartzler’s bill applies to affordable housing not public housing, so it would cover what the HUD ruling does not. See story
